"Each one of us should use whatever gift (she) has received to serve others,
faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms." 1 Peter 4:10
We would like to invite you to become a part of the Women's Ministry of Central Baptist Church. You will join with other women of all ages and stages in life and have oportunities for Bible study, prayer, ministry, fellowship, and other activities and special events. We operate in connection
with the established mission of Central Baptist Church and seek to help women find a place to grow spiritually, serve faithfully, and develop into the unique women God plans for us to be.
We are Women in God's Service (WINGS).
The purpose of this ministry is to Make GOD Known through growing in our relationship with the Lord, through serving Him with our Christian sisters, and through ministering to the world around us. Our goals are as follows:
- Come to Christ in worship with other women.
- Connect with other women in fellowship.
- Grow in spiritual maturity through discipleship.
- Serve others through ministry.
- Go reach the lost through evangelism.
Some of the W.I.N.G.S. ministries are listed below:
New Member Welcome Baskets - As a weclome to new members, the Women's Ministry puts together and delivers a basket of goodies and information to each family that joins Central Baptist Church.
Special Fellowship Times - All women are invited to come and get to know one another better
and perhaps have a craft night or other fun activity together occasionally. These meetings take place during the school year.
Beth Moore Bible Study - Usually one in the Fall and one in the Spring
Ladies Prayer Ministry Group - All ladies are encouraged to take part in this special time
of prayer on Sundays at 5:00 P.M. in the Welmaker Building, Room 19. Leader - Gay Jeffries

The Ladies 2007 Retreat was an inspiring evening which will included a light supper, desserts, fellowship and Bible Study. Our theme this year was "Vessels for the Master's Use." Rachel Norris, a potter from College Station, Texas, shared her compelling story as she demonstrated how to make a vessel on her potter's wheel. Ideas were shared about being prepared to serve God and being used by Him in relation to what kind of vessel we are. We seek to be spiritually mature women, strengthening our relationships at home, at church and in the community.
