![]() Disaster Relief Because of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita in September 2005, our members pulled together to clear trees and brush, provide shelter, food and water to people in our community and those displaced persons travelling, or attempting to travel through Livingston. The Lord opened many unique opportunities for this church to share the love of Jesus in very practical ways through the disaster we all experienced. We also sent a crew to Slidell, La. to help rebuild a church. Many of our members have since been trained in disaster relief: The Yellow Hat - Basic Training Chain Saw Specialty Training We stand ready to help when the need occurs. In January, 2006, a group of our men with chain saw training travelled to Oklahoma to help folks affected by the snow and ice storms. |
